How your new loafers should feel Loafers, by design, should fit snugly to compensate for the lack of lacing—without pinching. The heel should feel secure, with no slipping, while the toe box should allow for a slight amount of movement. A snug fit offers better support, reduces excessive movement, enhances the shoe’s appearance, and promotes proper foot placement for comfort and stability. After a few wears, the cork layer in the sole and the leather upper will gradually conform to the shape of your feet, providing an even better fit.
* Rotate between wears and insert shoe trees after use to retain shape and minimise creasing. * Use a shoe horn when putting them on and remove the loafers by hand to protect the heel. * Brush or wipe the leather upper after wear to remove dust and light surface marks. * Clean with a leather cleaner when needed, then apply a thin layer of cream or polish if the leather looks dry. * Clean the rubber sole with a damp cloth and mild soap when required. * Store the loafers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
