Lately, The Boat Shoe has been my go-to. I’ve always liked the style, but right now it’s the one I keep reaching for without thinking. There’s something about how easy they are — comfortable enough to wear all day, but still sharp enough to feel put-together.
I’ll wear them with loose trousers and a simple top when I’m keeping things casual, or pair them with a shirt and skirt if I want to feel a bit more dressed. They just have that rare quality of never looking out of place, no matter where the day goes.
Casual weekday
An easy, everyday favourite that doesn’t try too hard. Pair The Boat Shoe with trousers or jeans, throw on a T-shirt, and add a knit for cooler mornings. If the sun comes out, just toss the knit over your shoulders or tie it at the waist. Done. Simple, comfortable, and always looks good.
Summery layers
To dress it up a notch, try to style them with an above-the-knee skirt and layer a long-sleeve top under a crisp white shirt. Rolling up the shirt sleeves to reveal the layer underneath adds just the right amount of contrast while feeling clean, confident, and a bit unexpected.
