Sizes EU 40-46 (UK 6-12 | US 6.5-12.5) True to size
We recommend the same size as you wear in other shoes and other models from MORJAS. If you're normally between sizes, we recommend the smaller full size. If you benchmark your size with athletic shoes (e.g. Nike, Adidas), please select one size down.

Sizes EU 36–39 (UK 2-5 | US 2.5-5.5) True to size
Adapted for women and hence made on a slightly narrower fit. These sizes are true to size, and we recommend taking the same size as you normally wear in other shoes. For example, if you usually wear 38, we recommend 38 in the espadrille too.

The Espadrille should feel tight in the beginning. This might feel a bit unnatural when trying on, but the espadrille will stretch slightly after wear. Hence it should feel tight initially as you otherwise might risk heel slippage after a couple of wears. It's perfectly natural that you'll feel slight pressure and tightness over the toes—again, this will ease after a couple of wears.

Please note: Our sizing recommendations differ between suede and canvas.

Our take on the classic espadrille is crafted on a slightly higher-than-average jute sole. The higher sole together with the canvas creates a sharp impression, making this a companion suitable for not only days at the beach, but also for evenings on the plaza.

  • Crafted by hand in Spain
  • Organic canvas (GOTS certified)
  • Natural jute sole with rubber grip
  • Reinforced heel counter for ideal fit
  • Thin canvas lining
  • Heel patch in suede with embossed MORJAS logo

The Espadrille White Canvas
Fits large in size: Take one size smaller. Based on data, insights and close dialogues with our customers we recommend selecting one size down from what you normally wear. The Espadrille should feel tight in the beginning, it will stretch and get very comfortable after just a few wears.
We recommend cleaning your canvas espadrille by hand since the sole made of jute rope may be damaged if washed in a washing machine due to the spin cycle. Clean your shoes with water and a mild detergent. Before starting to clean your shoes thoroughly, make sure to brush off any excess dirt. Use a cloth or toothbrush, dip into the detergent water, and scrub off the dirt in a circular motion. Use a clean cloth together with a bit of water to rinse off the detergent. Use the same approach to clean the jute rope sole. Finally, let the shoes air dry. Avoid using a dryer since this may shrink your shoes and unravel the jute rope soles. Jute fibres tend to absorb water, which can lead to swelling and a temporary softening of the material. This could affect the shape and strength of the jute sole over time. To prolong the life and beauty of your jute-soled Espadrilles, we recommend avoiding exposure to wet conditions, rain, and puddles. If your shoes do get wet, allow them to air dry naturally. Avoid excessive heat, as it can compromise the fibres' integrity.
