Canvas Espadrille: Canvas is a durable yet porous material, sensitive to moisture, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, and heavy soiling. To improve the longevity of the material, we recommend treating your shoes with a fabric protector spray to help repel dirt and water. To clean and uphold canvas, use a soft brush or damp cloth to remove surface-level dust and dirt. For a deeper clean, use a mild fabric cleaner or soapy water, gently scrubbing the material and allowing it to air dry naturally. Jute rope sole: To clean and uphold the jute rope sole, use a cloth or soft brush, dip it into mild soapy water, and gently scrub off dirt. Use a clean, damp cloth to wipe away any soap residue. Allow the shoes to air dry naturally—never use direct heat or a dryer, as this may shrink the shoes and weaken the jute rope sole. Jute fibres tend to absorb water, which can lead to swelling and a temporary softening of the material. This could affect the shape and strength of the jute sole over time. To prolong the life of your jute-soled Espadrilles, we recommend avoiding exposure to wet conditions, rain, and puddles. If your shoes do get wet, allow them to air dry naturally. Avoid excessive heat, as it can compromise the fibres' integrity.
