How we use cookies
Cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels and local storage) are small files or identifiers placed on your device when you visit our website. They allow the site to function, remember your preferences, and help us understand how the site is used. We use the following categories of cookies:
1. Strictly necessary cookies: required for the site to work, such as keeping items in your basket, enabling checkout, and maintaining security. These are always active and do not require your consent.
2. Functional cookies: remember your choices, such as language, region, and sign-in details, to give you a smoother experience.
3. Analytics and performance cookies: help us understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are most visited, so we can improve it. We use this data in aggregate.
4. Marketing cookies: used by us and our partners to show you relevant advertising on our site and elsewhere, and to measure how it performs.
Apart from strictly necessary cookies, we only set cookies after you have given your consent through our cookie banner. You can accept or reject each category, and you can change or withdraw your consent at any time. You can also manage or delete cookies through your browser settings, though disabling some cookies may affect how the site works.
Advertising partners
If you accept marketing cookies, our advertising partners Meta Platforms (Facebook, Instagram), Google (Google Ads), Microsoft (Microsoft Advertising), Pinterest and OpenAI (ads in ChatGPT) receive information about your visit and any purchase, such as the pages you view, the products in your order and the order value. To match a purchase to an ad you have seen, some partners also receive your contact details, such as your email address or phone number, in hashed (encrypted, non-readable) form. Each partner processes this data under its own privacy policy, and some of them may transfer it outside the EU/EEA under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. You can withdraw your consent at any time through the cookie settings on our website.
Removing your personal data
You have the right to withdraw consent to marketing or personal data at any time by unsubscribing via the link provided with each marketing email or text message we send to you or by contacting us at [email protected]

Marketing
We strive to provide you with choices regarding certain personal data uses, particularly around marketing and advertising. We may use your Identity, Contact, Technical, Usage, and Profile Data to form a view on what we think you may want or need or what may be of interest to you. This is how we decide which products, services, and offers may be relevant to you (this is “marketing”). You will receive marketing communications from us if you have requested information from us or purchased goods or services from us and have not opted out of receiving that marketing. You will also receive marketing communications from us if you provided us with your details when you entered a competition or registered for a promotion and gave us your consent as part of that process.
Opting out
You can ask us or third parties to stop sending you marketing messages at any time by contacting us at [email protected]
Opting out of marketing messages will not prevent you from receiving non-marketing messages from us, such as those relating to products ordered from us or responses to customer service queries.
Disclosures of your personal data
We share your personal data with the following categories of recipients:
1. Service providers that process personal data on our behalf, such as payment providers, delivery and logistics partners, our returns platform, and providers of IT, hosting, email, customer service and analytics tools. We do not allow our service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes; we only permit them to process it for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.
2. Advertising partners, as described under “Advertising partners” above. Each partner processes the data it receives through marketing cookies on our website under its own responsibility and for its own purposes, such as delivering and measuring ads, in line with its own privacy policy. For this data they are not our service providers, and the restriction in point 1 does not apply to them.
3. Other companies in the Morjas group, such as Morjas, Inc., which sells the orders placed on our United States store.
4. Professional advisers, authorities and courts, where the law requires it or where it is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
5. Third parties to whom we may choose to sell, transfer, or merge parts of our business or our assets. Alternatively, we may seek to acquire other businesses or merge with them. If a change happens to our business, then the new owners may use your personal data in the same way as set out in this privacy notice.
We require all recipients to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law.
International transfers
Where we transfer personal data to providers in the US, we rely on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework (where the provider is certified) or on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, together with any additional safeguards required. For transfers from the UK, we rely on the UK extension to the Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA).
Data security
We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and service providers who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal data on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality. We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.
How long will you use my personal data?
We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it, including satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements. By law, we have to keep basic information about our customers (including Contact, Identity, Financial and Transaction Data) for six years after they cease being customers for tax purposes. We also keep this basic information about our customers for seven years following your most recent purchase from us to enable us to deal efficiently with any after-sales queries that you may have. We keep customer profile information that you have indicated you are happy for us to have in order to keep you up to date regarding our products, services and events and will keep this information until such time as you indicate you no longer wish us to keep this data, or for seven years following your most recent active interaction with us (e.g. opening or clicking on an email we send you), whichever of these two is shorter. In some circumstances, you can ask us to delete your data: contact [email protected]. In other circumstances, we may anonymize your personal data (so that it can no longer be associated with you) for research or statistical purposes, in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.
Your legal rights
Under certain circumstances, you have rights under data protection laws in relation to your personal data:
1. Request access to your personal data.
2. Request correction of your personal data.
3. Request the erasure of your personal data.
4. Object to processing of your personal data.
5. Request restriction of processing your personal data.
6. Right to opt-out of automated profiling of your personal data.
7. Request transfer of your personal data.
8. Right to withdraw consent.
If you wish to exercise any of the rights set out above, please contact us at [email protected].
No fee is usually required
You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive. Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.
What we may need from you
We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response.
Time limit to respond
We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it may take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.
Notice for California residents
This section applies if you live in California and supplements the rest of this privacy notice. It describes how we handle personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (the “CCPA”). Orders placed on our United States store are sold by Morjas, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Morjas & Co AB, and both companies handle your personal information as described in this privacy notice.
Personal information we collect
In the past 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information:
1. Identifiers, such as your name, postal address, email address, phone number, IP address, account name and online identifiers such as cookie IDs.
2. Customer records described in California Civil Code § 1798.80(e), such as your name, address, phone number and payment details. Your full card details are handled by our payment providers; we do not store them.
3. Characteristics of protected classifications under California or federal law, namely your gender and date of birth, if you choose to give them to us.
4. Commercial information, such as the products you buy, return or consider, and your order history.
5. Internet or other electronic network activity, such as the pages you view on our website and how you interact with our website, emails and ads.
6. Geolocation data, namely your approximate location derived from your IP address. We do not collect your precise geolocation.
7. Electronic information, such as your messages to our customer service.
8. Inferences drawn from the above, such as your style and product preferences.
We also collect your account log-in details, which the CCPA treats as sensitive personal information. We use them only to give you access to your account and to keep it secure, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for any purpose that would give you the right to limit its use.
Where it comes from and why we use it
We collect personal information directly from you; automatically from your device through cookies and similar technologies when you use our website (see “How we use cookies”); from our service providers, such as payment, delivery and returns providers; and from advertising partners, for example when you click on one of our ads. We use it for the purposes described under “The purpose for which we will use your personal data”: to process and deliver your orders and returns, manage your account and the Loyalty Program, provide customer service, send you marketing you have not opted out of, show you our advertising and measure how it performs, analyse and improve our website and products, prevent fraud, keep our website secure and comply with the law.
Sale and sharing of personal information
We do not sell personal information for money. When you allow marketing cookies on our website, the advertising partners named under “Advertising partners” receive identifiers, internet or other electronic network activity and commercial information, such as the products in your order and the order value, and some of them also receive your contact details in hashed form. Under the CCPA, this can count as a “sale” of personal information or as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. In the past 12 months we have sold or shared these three categories with those advertising partners, to show you our ads and measure how they perform. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
Disclosures for business purposes
In the past 12 months we have disclosed each category of personal information listed above to our service providers and contractors for business purposes, such as processing payments, delivering orders, handling returns, hosting our website, sending emails, providing customer service and analysing how our website is used, and to other companies in the Morjas group.
How long we keep it
We keep each category of personal information for as long as described under “How long will you use my personal data?”. In short: order, payment and other transaction records for up to seven years after your most recent purchase, to meet accounting and tax rules and to handle after-sales questions; customer profile and marketing data until you ask us to delete it, or for up to seven years after your most recent active interaction with us, whichever is shorter; and cookie data for the lifetime shown for each cookie in our cookie settings.
Your California privacy rights
If you live in California, you have the right to:
1. Know what personal information we have collected about you, including its categories and sources, why we collect it, the categories of third parties we disclose it to, and the specific pieces of personal information we hold about you.
2. Delete the personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
3. Correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
4. Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
5. Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We will not deny you goods, charge you a different price or give you a different level of service because you have exercised them.
How to exercise your rights
To opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, use the “Your Privacy Choices” link at the bottom of every page of our United States store, or open the cookie settings and switch off marketing cookies. Your choice applies to the browser and device you use, so please repeat it on each one. We also treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a request to opt out of sale and sharing for that browser. We do not respond to other “Do Not Track” signals.
For your other rights, email [email protected] with “California privacy request” in the subject line. To protect your information, we verify each request by matching details you give us, such as your email address and a recent order number, with the information we hold. We confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days; if we need more time, we will tell you why and may take up to a further 45 days. You can also ask an authorized agent to make a request for you. We will ask the agent for your signed permission and may ask you to verify your identity directly with us, unless the agent holds a valid power of attorney.
Residents of other US states
Depending on the state you live in, you may have similar rights under your state’s consumer privacy law: to confirm whether we process your personal data and to access it, to correct it, to delete it, to obtain a copy in a portable format, and to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of your personal data and profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. You can exercise these rights in the same way as described for California residents above. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or by emailing [email protected] with “Privacy appeal” in the subject line. We will respond to your appeal within the time your state’s law requires, and if we deny it, you may contact your state attorney general.
