The Ivy Loafer is inspired by old-school Ivy style. Its slightly boxier shape and relaxed profile set it apart from our flagship Penny Loafer, giving it a sporty, enduring silhouette. A shorter vamp and 360-degree welt reinforce the collegiate influences at the heart of its design.
* Crafted by hand in Spain
* High walled round toe
* 360 degree welt
* Full leather lining
* Suede leather
* Goodyear welted construction
* Single leather sole
Fits large in size – take half a size down
We recommend selecting half a size down from what you usually wear in lace-up shoes.
Compared with the Penny Loafer: most people take the same size in both. The Ivy is made on a slightly shorter, narrower last, so if your Penny Loafer already feels snug, take half a size up in the Ivy.
UK 7 / EU 41 / US 8 and below: take your usual lace-up size. In the smaller sizes, half a size down tends to be too short.
Wide feet or a high instep: stay with your usual lace-up size rather than sizing down.
How your new loafers should feel
Loafers, by design, should fit snugly to compensate for the lack of lacing – without pinching. The heel should feel secure, with no slipping, while the toe box should allow for a slight amount of movement. After a few wears, the cork layer in the sole and the leather upper will gradually conform to the shape of your feet, providing an even better fit.
* Rotate between wears and insert shoe trees after use to retain shape and minimise creasing.
* Use a shoe horn when putting them on and remove the loafers by hand to protect the heel.
* Once dry, brush the suede upper gently to lift the nap and remove dust.
* Suede should be treated with a dedicated protective spray before first wear and refreshed periodically, especially after cleaning or exposure to moisture.
* Use a suede eraser on dry marks and avoid liquid cleaners where possible, unless using a suede-specific shampoo.
* Let the leather sole dry at room temperature if it becomes damp and keep away from direct heat sources.
* If you expect frequent wear in wet conditions, add a thin rubber sole for extra grip and added longevity.
* Store the loafers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
